In 2018, Subhash Chandra Bose started LegalTax alone. No co-founders. No investors. No safety net. Just a stubborn belief that legal, tax, and compliance services in India were broken — too complicated, too expensive, and too inaccessible for the people who needed them most.
Startups were drowning in paperwork before they even had a product. Founders were paying lakhs for basic compliance they didn’t understand. And everyday people had no idea where to even begin.
So he built the solution he wished existed.

In 2018, with no backing, no team, and no guarantees — he started LegalTax from scratch. What kept him going wasn’t funding or fanfare. It was founders reaching out at midnight confused about their company structure. It was small business owners who’d been overcharged and underserved for years. It was the quiet satisfaction of making something complicated — finally feel simple.
He built LegalTax the hard way. Which is also the right way.
